If you're looking to move or transfer a .com.au or .net.au domain name then the following guide will help you.

  1. Login to the account where your domain name is currently hosted.

  2. Unlock the domain and get the EPP / Authorisation Code / Domain Password

  3. Click on the following link to transfer a domain to us: https://tropicalwebhost.com/members/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer

  4. Type in the Domain Name & Authorisation Code

  5. You will then have to fill out the Registrant Details & Eligibility. We have written a guide here which you should follow to fill out this section. It's different if you have an ABN / ACN / Registered Business Name or if you are a Sole Trader or a Company: https://tropicalwebhost.com/members/index.php?rp=/knowledgebase/1/Domain-Name-Eligibility-Examples-for-.com.au-.net.au-Domains.html

  6. You must also select an Eligibility Reason for your domain, whichever best describes your domain name:
    - Domain name is an Exact Match Abbreviation or Acronym of your Entity or Trading Name.
    - Close and substantial connection between the domain name and the operations of your Entity.

  7. Enter your domains Nameservers - this is the server that you want your domain to point to. These can be found in the account where your domain name is currently hosted under Nameservers. Enter them exactly as they appear in your current account to avoid any disruptions to your website.

  8. Click continue to put the order through. Transfers are free for .com.au and .net.au domains with us. You only have to pay to renew your domain.
